How to create a File

Using the "Create" Option:

Select the "Create" or "+" option in the App. This feature allows you to add files in two ways:

  1. Upload File: Add individual files, including various formats such as PDFs, documents, text files, audio recordings and video files.

  2. Upload Folder: Alternatively, upload an entire folder containing multiple files to bulk upload several items at the same time. Each file will be created as a separate node.

Using the "Share" Option:

myReach offers a convenient method to add files using the "Share" option. With this functionality, you can effortlessly incorporate files into myReach from other applications or sources. It simplifies the process of importing external content into your myReach knowledge repository.

Using the Web Clipper:

The myReach web clipper is a valuable tool for capturing web content and converting it into a file node. This feature is particularly beneficial for archiving web articles, blog posts or any online content for later.

Integrating Tools like Zapier:

myReach extends its capabilities by integrating with third-party tools and services like Zapier. Through this integration, you can automate the process of adding files and content to myReach, streamlining your knowledge management workflow.

For instance, you can set up automated actions to import files from various sources directly into myReach.

Summary Property

Once you upload a file into myReach, our powerful AI extracts the content and generates a concise summary for you. This summary provides an overview of the file's key points, making it easier to grasp the main ideas without delving into the entire document.

It can be found in Properties section of the node.

Learn

myReach's AI not only extracts content but also learns from it. Once a file is added, the AI analyses, processes and learns all the data through a series of algorithms that interconnect and extract information so you can search through Natural Language how you think.

This means you can pose questions about any specific piece of information from within the file, and myReach's AI will provide you with instant answers. It's like having a knowledgeable assistant at your fingertips.

How? It transcribes audio to text, extracts the metadata of files, it recognises text in scanned documents and images through OCR, etc.

Recommendations

Our AI doesn't stop at understanding the content; it also analyses the text to suggest new Tags and connections to other items you've saved in myReach. These recommendations help you better organise and interlink your knowledge, making it easier to navigate and discover related information.

Similar to any Node, in the “+” button in the "relationships" tab of a saved website, there is a "recommended" tab. Use this to leverage AI-powered recommendations that analyse the website's content to identify relevant Tags and suggest relationships with other items. This streamlines the categorisation and connection of information.

Extracted URLs

If the file contains URLs or web links, myReach's AI feature extracts them and recommends them as separate nodes to save. This functionality ensures that you can access and explore external web content related to the file, expanding your knowledge even further.

File options

In the 3 dots button on the top right of the screen in the App, there are multiple options and functionalities. Here is a breakdown:

  • Change Cover Picture: Customise the visual representation of your file by selecting a different cover picture to make it easily recognisable and visually appealing.

  • Rename Node: Modify the name of the file to ensure that it accurately reflects the content or purpose of the file.

  • Preview File: Get a quick preview of the file's content without having to download it. This feature is especially useful for assessing file content at a glance.

  • Download: Download the file to your local device or computer for offline access or further use.

  • Content Successfully Learned: When a node is created, our AI learns the content of the node.

    If the node is learned the text is "Content Successfully Learned".

    If not learned then the text is "Get Rich to learn the node".

  • Preview File Content: If the file contains text-based content, preview the transcription to quickly review and understand its textual information.

  • Upload New File Version: Easily update the file by uploading a new version of the file while preserving its associated data and settings.

  • File Settings: Access and customise various settings specific to the file, tailoring it to your preferences and needs.

  • Useful Tips: Gain valuable insights and tips about effectively managing and using files within myReach to optimise your workflow.

  • Copy Node URL: Share the file by copying its unique URL, allowing others to access it directly.

  • Assign to Another Workspace: Organise your files efficiently by assigning the file to a different Workspace within myReach.

  • Move to Trash: If you no longer need the file, send it to the trash for safe disposal or archival.
