AI Settings

In the AI Settings, you're able to change the temperature of the Genie's answers.

The Temperature is a technical setting that controls the balance between creativity and factual accuracy. This is measured on a scale from 0.00 to 1.00.

LOW Temperature (near 0.00): Keeps the answers safe, factual and predictable. This is ideal for technical manuals, legal documents and HR policies where precision is non-negotiable (if you're not sure, keep the temperature at 0.00).

HIGH Temperature (closer to 1.00): Leads to more imaginative and varied results. This is useful for creative brainstorming or marketing copy.

  • Why it matters: It dictates how "adventurous" the AI is with its word choices.
  • Example: A setting of 0.00 ensures the AI sticks strictly to the data provided, whereas a 0.70 might allow for more flowery and varied language.

⚠️ Warning: Setting the temperature above 0.00 increases the risk of "hallucinations", where the AI may prioritise creativity over strictly factual reporting. For most business use cases involving data retrieval, we recommend keeping this setting at or near zero.
