Integrating myGenie with your Shopify store can help you better engage with your customers and make your operations smoother. Here’s an easy-to-follow guide on how to get connected.
Steps to Sync myGenie with Shopify
Step 1: Provide Your Store Name

Go to Integration Settings:
- Log in to your myGenie dashboard and click on the Integrations section in Settings tab.

Enter Your Store Name:
- You’ll see a field labeled Store Name.
- Type in the exact name of your Shopify store.
Step 2: Add Secret Access Token

Get Your Token from Shopify:
- Log in to your Shopify admin panel.
- Click on Apps in the sidebar, then Manage Private Apps.
- Click on Create a New Private App and give it a name.
- In the Admin API section, give the app necessary permissions (usually read and write).
- Save the app; Shopify will generate an API Key and Secret Access Token.

Enter the Token in myGenie:
- Copy the Secret Access Token from Shopify.
- Paste this token into the Secret Access Token field in the myGenie integration settings.
Step 3: Click Connect
- Connect Shopify to myGenie:
- After entering your store name and secret access token, click the Connect button.
- MyGenie will now sync with your Shopify store, allowing you to engage with your customers more effectively.
Connecting Multiple Shopify Stores
If you need to connect more than one Shopify store, follow these extra steps:
Step 1: Disconnect the Current Store
- Remove the Existing Connection:
- In the myGenie integrations settings, find the currently connected Shopify store.
- Click Delete Integration to disconnect it.
Step 2: Identify Additional Stores
- Notification for More Stores:
- After disconnecting the current store, a dropdown message will appear: "Additional Shopify integrations have been identified."
Step 3: Add New Store

Expand the Dropdown:
- Click on the dropdown to see more options.

Create Another Integration:
- Click on Create Another Integration to start adding another Shopify store.

Repeat Store Connection Steps:
- Follow the same steps as before: Enter your store name, add the secret access token, and click connect.
